Renting in Dubai Hills: what to check

Cheques

Rent is usually paid by post-dated cheques. Landlords often accept a lower rent if you pay in fewer cheques, so it is worth asking.

Cooling and utilities

Ask whether air conditioning is included in the rent or billed separately. It makes a real difference to your monthly costs in summer.

Ejari and renewals

Your contract is registered with Ejari. At renewal, any rent increase is limited by the official rental index, so check it before you agree to a new rent.
