Dubai has announced the Palm Jebel Ali master plan. This master plan will be twice the size of Palm Jumeirah and will boast 80 new hotels in Dubai. The project was announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai and Prime Minister and President of the UAE. The development will include 110km of coastline. He believes that Palm Jebel Ali will be a part of the city’s ambition to be the most beautiful city in the world.

Chairman of Nakheel and Managing Director of the Investment Corporation of Dubai, Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani believes that they are esteemed to embark on a groundbreaking journey with the new plan of Palm Jebel Ali, which is unmatched in scale and magnitude.

Sustainability is a key feature of Palm Jebel Ali’s design, with renewable energy sources planned for its infrastructure. Once completed, the new project in Dubai will be almost entirely self-sufficient in terms of power generation. Almost around 30 percent of Palm Jebel Ali’s energy requirements will be derived from renewable sources.

According to Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, Palm Jebel Ali will contribute to the city’s vision of increasing beach destinations, delivering world-class urban infrastructure and facilities, supporting sustainable development, and facilitating the expansion of Dubai’s population, estimated to reach around 5.8 million by 2040.
