Henderson Project Moon – The Next Big Thing In Dubai Real Estate Market
Who says you cannot go to the moon? A $5 billion real estate project is coming to take skyscraper-studded Dubai to new heights. This proposed project in Dubai will bring a symbol of heaven down to planet Earth.
This out-of-the-box idea is the brainchild of Canadian entrepreneur Michael Henderson. He pictures building a 274-meter model of the moon on the top of a 30-meter building in Dubai. This will add another gem in the crown of Dubai which already is home to the other architectural gems and the world’s tallest building.
Henderson Project MOON may sound like a difficult-to-accept idea, but it could easily be fitted in this city of wonders. Dubai already has a successful red-hot property market. The Dubai real estate market is fueled by the wealthy who left their countries due to the restrictions imposed on them during the Russia-Ukraine war and the coronavirus pandemic.
Henderson told the press that “we have the biggest ‘brand’ in the world” suggesting that the moon itself, the heavenly body, was his brand. He also told that more than 8 billion people know the brand, and they have not even started yet.
Henderson’s project will include a luxurious destination resort in the moon completed with a 4,000-room hotel in Dubai. It will also consist of an arena that will be capable of holding 10,000 people and a ‘lunar colony’ that would make the guests feel like actually walking on the moon.
The MOON would settle on a platform-like circular structure beneath it and will glow at night. The MOON project includes space for a casino as well. However, gambling shall remain illegal in the UAE. Also, huge brands like Caesar’s Palace already live or hope to build in the city. Wynn Resorts also have a project to build a $3.9 billion resort in the north of Dubai, Ras al-Khaimah. This resort has a plan to open gambling in 2027 which means that there is a chance for the new law to come.
According to an expert, the MOON project will fit well into the Dubai ruling elite formula just like the other eye-catchy wonders and high-profile skyscrapers in Dubai. Dubai also hosts the space center of UAE. They sent a probe to Mars and tried to put a rover on the moon.
Henderson’s new project in Dubai will go the next level compared to the other globe-shaped projects such as the MSG Sphere. MSG Sphere is a $2,3 billion dome that is completely covered in LED screens. It is set to open in Las Vegas in the last quarter of 2023. On the other hand, the MOON will be fully spherical and will possibly be illuminated as a crescent, full or half-moon.
The brightness may not go well with the neighbors. Residents in London protested against the plan to build another MSG sphere because of the considerable light pollution and disruption this structure would cause. Henderson said that it is very hard to satisfy everybody, and dark curtains might be needed.
