Dubai Prepares For FIFA World Cup 2022 With Dedicated Football Fan Zones
With dedicated fan zones set up across Dubai during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, the emirate is ready to host football fans from around the globe. In less than 3 months, fans from neighboring countries including the UAE will descend on Qatar, with many using the UAE’s big screens, restaurants, and entertainment, fan zones to give supporters without tickets the chance to watch some action in the emirate before and after tournaments in Qatar.
1. DIFC Football Park In Dubai
Dubai International Financial Centre’s (DIFC) Football Park will showcase the power of football fever. Located on Gate Avenue’s podium level, the Football Park will feature Michelin-starred restaurants in Dubai, butlers, and a concierge to help fans enjoy the world’s greatest soccer competition. Bookings open on September 15 and pricing will be revealed then. The month-long tournament in Qatar will be broadcast live on a giant screen in outdoor seating areas in Dubai.

2. World Of Sports Fan Zone By Habtoor Grand Resort In Dubai

Sports fans can also enjoy all the sporting action in an open-air fan zone at Media City Amphitheatre in Dubai as McGettigan’s and DGT Events take over the venue during the month-long football tournament in Qatar. In addition to a winter festival, a variety of entertainment, food, and drinks will be available at the Open-Air Fanzone in Dubai by McGettigan for the entire FIFA World Cup.
3. First Football-Themed Hotel In Dubai
This November, Dubai will also inaugurate its first football-themed hotel in the Middle East. On The Palm Jumeirah, NH Dubai strives to be a hotspot where football fans can base themselves as they travel into and out of Doha during the tournament. A football fans’ tour in Dubai, run by Expat Sport, will include flights from Dubai to Qatar, airport transfers, and accommodations at the NH Dubai The Palm. Ticket sales for November’s FIFA World Cup in Doha have reached 2.45 million, FIFA reported earlier this month. More than 521,000 tickets have been sold in the most recent phase, with games featuring Brazil proving popular, according to FIFA. Among those who purchased tickets were residents from the host country, Qatar, as well as the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
There are expected to be 1.2 million fans in Qatar during the event, roughly half of the Gulf estate’s population. FIFA plans to begin ticket sales in September. To ease the accommodation squeeze, Qatar has tried everything from cruise ships to desert camps to provide enough rooms for visitors, teams, and tournament staff. There are also match-day shuttle flights between Doha and major Middle Eastern cities as part of Qatar Airway’s partnership with Gulf carriers for the World Cup in Qatar
After last-minute changes, the event will begin a day earlier on November 20 than originally planned. A total of 3 million spots are expected to be made available.
